The month of January 2025 was the National Soup Month
I had the pleasure of being invited to be the guest speaker at "Soup For The Soul" event: A Heartwarming National Soup Month Celebration at the award-wining luxury Cuffley Manor Care Home to celebrate the National Soup Month.
On January 15th, Cuffley Manor came alive with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of freshly made Butternut Squash & Carrot Soup as they celebrated National Soup Month with their delightful event, "Soup for the Soul".
Cuffley Manor, is more than just a care home – they are a vibrant community where the residents enjoy the highest standards of care in a warm, welcoming, and luxurious environment. From beautifully designed spaces to personalised services, everything they do is focused on enhancing the well-being and happiness of their residents.
This initiative celebrated the nutritional value of soups and their importance in promoting health, particularly in elderly care. As part of the celebration, I was truly honoured to be invited as a guest speaker to share my professional expertise on the significance of nutrition and its impact on overall well-being. One resident shared, "Learning about the soup's nutritious value made it taste even better."
I had so much fun connecting with everyone. The event was not just about soup - it was about community, togetherness, and celebrating the positive impact that good nutrition has on our well-being.
This memorable gathering was thoughtfully arranged by their Business Development Manager, Ivy, whose dedication to creating meaningful experiences for the residents and their families truly shone through.
The talented Head Chef Andre prepared a delicious soup that truly lived up to its name. Many residents went back for seconds (and even thirds!) with one remarking, "The soup truly warms the heart and the soul. It's the best I've ever had - Andre has outdone himself today!"
The room was filled with laughter and chatter as we shared stories about our favourite soups - from classic tomato and hearty pumpkin to cherished traditional recipes. Together we danced to our favourite songs, creating cherished memories and a wonderful sense of togetherness.
Here's to more nourishing moments that being us closer, one bowl of soup at a time!
Here are some pictures that captured the moment of the event
